The Sixers take losing to the next level
Ever Since The Process began and the word “tanking” became a Philadelphia favorite right up there with “jawn”, the Sixers have found all kinds of ways to lose games.
They have been blown out so bad they shouldn’t have even shown up. They have come back after being down by double digits only to lose at the very end. They have come out on fire, built a lead and then watched as it disappeared in the third quarter, never to return.
And now you can add “How the hell did he make that shot right at the buzzer?” to the list.
On Wednesday the Sixers played the Denver Nuggets and were without Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor. By some miracle, they were winning by a score of 103-101 with 3.1 seconds remaining and it looked like the team was going to snap their six-game losing streak.
Then this happened:
You have got to be f*cking kidding me.
Joel Embiid: Soccer star?
Joel Embiid recently returned to Qatar and the renowned hospital Aspetar to continue rehabbing his foot so he can play basketball next season. While there, he ran into Paris St. Germain midfielder Javier Pastore.
As most people know, while Embiid is very good at basketball (not that anyone in Philly would know that) his first love has always been soccer. So he took the opportunity to get some lessons and show off his skills.
Not to shabby. And the right foot is looking pretty good as well.
The Sixers want T.J. McConnell to stay safe
Sixers backup point guard T.J. McConnell just turned the ripe old age of 24 and, seeing as how he is getting up there in years, his teammates are naturally worried about his well-being. McConnell does have a reputation for diving after balls and leading with his head.
So it should come as no surprise that they gave him some gifts on his birthday so he could stay safe in the future. They included a Mickey Mouse helmet and shin guards.

Safety first after all.
And that’s a wrap for another week. Have a Happy Easter and I leave you, as always, with the beauty that is the Sixers Dancers.
See you all next Sunday.
